Description
Exceptionally cold hardy and a prolific bloomer, Coral Delight Camellia is a Williamsii Hybrid that produces a plethora of beautiful semi-double flowers with vibrant coral-pink petals often randomly brushed in white that surround prominent bright, golden-yellow center stamens. In our Georgia gardens, the buds of Coral Delight begin opening as early as February and the plant is in full flower by March, which is a sight to behold! The deep green evergreen foliage provides the perfect backdrop for the bright flowers. Enjoy this beauty indoors by displaying several cuttings in a vase or float just one in a bowl of water. This one sailed through 3 degrees F with no problems at all at is reliably cold hardy to USDA Zone 6a. Find your zone
Landscape & Garden Uses
A mid-size grower with an upright habit of growth to about 6-8 feet tall and wide, Coral Delight Camellia can be grown as a shrub or small tree. As a shrub it is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings, or as hedge or background plant in landscape borders and is especially nice as a corner plant or espalier (trained to grow flat against a wall) in home foundation plantings. As she grows taller, lower branches can be removed to form a highly attractive small evergreen tree that serves well as a focal point specimen in landscape borders and home foundation plantings. A fine addition to pink color theme gardens, camellia gardens, cottage gardens, cut flower gardens and woodland borders. Also suitable for containers that can be brought indoors during winter for those who live and garden above USDA Zone 7a, where this variety is not reliably winter hardy. Find Your Zone
Suggested Spacing:  5 feet apart for solid hedge; 12 feet apart for space between plants
Note:  For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 6a, where this Camellia variety is not reliably winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Preferences
Camellia adapt well to various soil types however prefer a moist but well-drained acidic soil that is rich in organic matter. Constantly soggy soil is a slow killer. In general, Camellia grows and blooms better in partial shade with some shelter from the hot afternoon sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sunlight is perfect. All-day filtered sun is fine.

We ordered 4 Camellia. Two Coral Delight and two Winters Snowmen. I have never ordered plants online before, so I was a little anxious. I was led to these plants because they were appropriate for my growing zone, and the options for me were generous.
The plants arrived on time. They appeared healthy and well supported during shipping. We were amazed that within two days we saw a new growth! This is continued over the next few days and we look forward to seeing them mature now and ultimately bloom in the fall. It so nice to have plants that not only grow in our growing zone and bloom when we wanted. This is not the type of availability we find at local nurseries. We would definitely recommend Wilson Brothers Gardens and intend to use them in the future.————————————WBG Reply: Hi MaryAnne, Thanks so much for taking the time to provide your review of the Coral Delight Camellia. We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come!
